Family entry is based on 3rd and subsequent fee-paying members of the family paying ½ price for entry.
Discounts are calculated on the lowest value registration, i.e. if a family is registering one participant in the Premier, one U18 in the Minor and one in the U1200s, the discount will be applied to the U1200s registration.
How to claim Family Entry: Register online , then contact the organisers to apply for a 50% refund on the eligible registration.
Look up your current published FIDE and ACF ratings, and check our Division Requirements table. Registrations are accepted based on a player's current published standard/classic ratings only*. Email us for advice. Please note that eligibility requirements have changed across all divisions.
Unrated players are eligible for the Under 1200s or the Mini (new).
Players without an ACF rating will use their FIDE or Official National Rating as an equivalent.
Before registering for the Doeberl Cup, you must first obtain a FIDE ID through your own national chess federation.
Only classic/standard ratings are accepted for the Doeberl Cup.
Updated 24 Oct 2022
Players withdrawing more than 7 days before the start of their division are entitled to a full refund, less processing fees. If a player withdraws within 7 days of the start of their division a 50% refund will be issued. Any player who withdraws after the start of their division forfeits their registration fee.
Players are expected to complete all rounds of their respective events. Players who cannot do so should inform the organisers before their next round. A player withdrawing under these circumstances will be required to pay an entry bond the next time they enter the Doeberl Cup (to the value of the standard entry fee). This bond will be refunded upon the completion of that next event. Players who withdraw without notifying the organisers in advance may have further conditions imposed upon their future entry.
Players with a chronic medical condition may be exempt from this regulation. Please contact the organisers before entering for further information.
